By accessing and using Kokoro Web (kokoroweb.app), you agree to comply with these terms of use. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the service.

Service Description

Kokoro Web turns text into speech in your browser with 54 preset voices across English, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, French, Hindi, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese. The current generator accepts up to 2,000 characters per input, offers a speed control, and lets you download generated audio as WAV files. Choose a voice matching the language of your text. It does not record microphone audio or transcribe audio or video recordings.

Speech synthesis runs on your device after the required model and voice files load. The application does not upload the text you enter or the generated audio to our servers for synthesis. Visiting the site and downloading model files still involve network requests; separate analytics and advertising services are described in our Privacy Policy. Browser caching, offline availability, and generation speed depend on your device, browser, and storage conditions.

Usage Rules

Permitted Use

• Generate speech from text you own, have permission to use, or may otherwise lawfully use.
• Download WAV files and use or share generated narration for personal or commercial projects when you have the necessary rights and comply with applicable licenses, laws, and destination-platform rules.
• Review pronunciation, wording, and the complete output before publishing or relying on generated speech.
• Use the service in compliance with local laws and platform policies.

Prohibited Use

• Use the service to violate copyrights or other intellectual property rights.
• Use generated speech to impersonate others deceptively, misrepresent an endorsement, or otherwise mislead listeners.
• Attempt to disrupt, damage, or interfere with the normal operation of the website.
• Reverse‑engineer, scrape model artifacts in violation of their licenses, or abuse rate limits.

Intellectual Property

• You retain any rights you hold in the text you enter. Using this service does not transfer those rights to Kokoro Web.
• You are responsible for the rights needed to use your source text and publish the resulting audio. The service does not grant rights in third-party text, trademarks, music, or other protected material, or guarantee that generated output is exclusive or eligible for copyright protection.
• Third-party models, preset voices, and other assets remain subject to their applicable licenses and rights. The Kokoro voice guide identifies the model and voice-list sources.
• The Kokoro Web website design and code are protected by copyright.

Disclaimer

Kokoro Web is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee pronunciation accuracy, audio quality, reliability, availability, or uninterrupted generation. You are responsible for reviewing generated speech and for how you use or publish it. Save your source text and download any WAV files you need before leaving or reloading the page; the page session is not a project archive.

Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall kokoroweb.app or its developers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Third‑Party Relationships

Kokoro Web may integrate open‑source models and CDNs. We are not affiliated with OpenAI. Third‑party services are governed by their own terms and policies.

Terms Modification

We reserve the right to modify these terms of use at any time. Significant changes will be communicated by posting updated terms on the website. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

Service Termination

We may suspend or terminate your right to use this service at any time without prior notice, particularly if you violate these terms of use.

Governing Law

These terms of use are governed by the laws of the relevant jurisdiction. Any disputes will be resolved in appropriate courts.
